Responsible for managing and directing the Material Laboratory, New Product Design & Development and the Quality departments of the company. Manage and lead the product and material maturation process for all new business. Provide support to other departments by evaluating and developing new suppliers, developing new product cost estimates, and release of all manufacturing drawings, material compositions and specifications for critical new products. Responsible for the development of Quality and Environmental Management System processes with the goal of certification to IATF 16949 and maintaining ISO 14001 and ISO 9001.
Responsible for design, implementation, and maintenance of new automated systems in Manufacturing and Assembly. Continuous improvement, troubleshooting and maintenance of existing automation, including error-proofing systems, leak test equipment and robots. Quoting costs for automation, error-proofing and fixtures needed for new items being quoted for manufacturing and/or assembly at RL Hudson. Also responsible for drafting work instructions and maintenance instructions for automated equipment.
The organizational impact involves project coordination, problem solving and decision making, which are of the highest level due to their impact on the marketing and delivery of RL Hudson’s products in the marketplace. Position greatly impacts customer satisfaction and profitability of R. L. Hudson.
